**only the Dusky Mushroom in stock*
These handcrafted mushroom cottages were made using some of the handmade mushrooms my dad passed down to me. He had used them for a jewelry store's window and displays, and now I have transformed them into these magical little cottages. I love being able to recycle old items into new art, and these mushies being from my dad makes these pieces even more special to me.
Each cottage is made from carved foam covered in layers of paper mache that I handpainted using watercolors for weathering. There is moss topped natural dried turkey tail mushrooms growing from the sides of the cottages. Each door is carved and adorned with a tiny gold embellished doorknob and dried sponge mushrooms used for the front stoops. *stoop color will vary from brown to green tone*
These cottages look great placed within any decor as a little glimpse of magic and I have to say, they look exceptionally good with my dark academia decor in my studio.
